En Argentina muchos políticos -además de muchos no políticos- son keynesianos. Sin embargo, el propio Keynes habló mal, y bastante mal, de la inflación a la cual muchísimos gobiernos "descuidaron" haciéndose los distraídos para combatirla, o siendo simplemente ineficientes en controlarla.
By a continuing process of inflation, governments can confiscate, secretly and unobserved, an important part of the wealth of their citizens. By this method they not only confiscate, but they confiscate arbitrarily; and, while the process impoverishes many, it actually enriches some.
