Brazil is burning yet again. It's not looking like the country of the future anymore.
For a time it did. Back in the mid-2000s, Brazil's biggest oil firm was discovering oil and its biggest government banks were handing out money like clowns passing out gumballs to kids at a circus. Nowadays, Brazil looks more like the banana republic of the future. Nothing is sacred. No one is safe from judicial oversight in the biggest corruption investigation in the Americas today. In fact, the only thing stopping Brazil from taking the title of Most Chaotic and Corrupt nation in South America is Venezuela, which is basically a failed state.
